About the college

In 1911, Pasadena City College was on the map when a new campus was constructed for the high school. The school went through architectural changes and then in 1924, the junior college was founded and ever since quality education has been a forefront of what the school set out to do so many years ago. The mission at the Pasadena City College, PCC, is simple. They train students for success. Success in the future and their career choices.

Campus

The campus at PCC is located in Pasadena, California with many academic and social features. Students have an on campus library and bookstore, a variety of athletic programs, career placement center, child development center, computer labs, a flea market held on the first Sunday of every month and counseling, both academic and career. The transfer center at PCC gives students the opportunity to study at the college and return each year until their goal is complete or transfer to a 4-year university.

Courses

At PCC the programs that students are the community can choose from are extensive. There is a community education center for English as a Second Language courses or classes to earn your GED. Pre College and High School programs are also offered. Special interest programs include study programs, teaching communities, and courses by television. Students can also take online classes. The instructional divisions can lead students to a degree in various fields of study. Some of the divisions are business and computer technology, health sciences and visual arts and media studies.

At Pasadena City College they are helping the community and the individual realize that education is a life long process. There is no age limit to learning, at PCC the possibilities are endless, and the career paths can take graduates anywhere.
