The Palace Beauty College, PBC, offers cosmetology courses that can train graduates to be professional stylists, manicurists, or even owners of their own salons. The training at PBC is state of the art where students are given the tools of the trade to create beauty wherever they go. Pairing a creative spirit with beauty skills can lead graduates to life long and rewarding careers. Campus PBC and its campus are located in the cultural and diverse city of Los Angeles. Not only does LA have local attractions and beautiful, but it also has a prime location for the beauty industry and its many career choices. The campus in LA is 11,000 square feet of classrooms and teaching aids. A salon experience at PBC is hands on with shampoo facilities, chair hair blow dryers, stations, and individual workstations for students to work on the community. The campus also has an audio/visual center for classroom demos and videotapes. Courses The courses at PBC are broken down into three programs. The cosmetology program is a 1600 clock hour’s course that involves lectures, demonstrations, student participation, and exams. Students practice on a mannequin head and actual persons with training in scalp/hair treatments, make up applications, manicures, hair cutting, facials and other aspects of cosmetology. Another program is manicurist with 400 clock hours. This program covers manicures, pedicures, and sanitation. The esthetician program is 600 clock hours with a focus on skin care. Students learn chemical peels, hair removal, facials, and sanitation. The last program offered is a 600-clock hour course in teacher training. PBC also has 80-hour courses in make up artistry.
