About the College
Sound Master is a private, for Profit College that offers a certificate in sound engineering. To learn about media this would be your choice in schools. It has since changed its name to Pinnacle College. It was established in 1972 by Brian Ingoldsby. This is the first media college in California. Therefore, if you are serious about an audio school you will not find a better one than this one. They have small classes with the most advanced equipment so you will learn everything you need to know to get your first gig. They have the most efficient hands on workshops in their own 24/48-track studios. Our graduates have gone on to work for very famous people like; Elton John, Limp Bizkit, Christina Aguilera, Sting, Korn, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Pink, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Quincy Jones, Nelly Furtado, Tina Turner, Aerosmith, Dr. Dre, Van Halen, Eminem, Back Street Boys.
About the campus
They have a professional 24/48 track studio that has the most automated computerized system in the business. In October of 2005, Sound Master built a new design studio and moved to Alhambra. They have a well-lit gated campus and have ample parking for students and visitors. They have a one million sq ft office on 45 acres with 20 buildings for this recording school. They have classic buildings made of brick that surrounds a courtyard that is beautifully landscaped with fountains and gardens.
About the courses
The main course of study is media/audio. The most common majors are radio and TV tech. You will learn all you need to know about audio, games, TV broadcasting, and radio. They do not have on campus housing or a meal plan. They do offer financial aid and will help you acquire it.
