About the college
In the state of California, the need for business professional has been on the rise for years. That was the case in 1884 when Woodbury University was founded to help train students with professional and liberal arts education and strengthen the community and the workforce. The university started with its home in the city of Los Angeles for over 100 years, but then in 1987 the campus moved into the city of Burbank and has been there ever since. Campus The Burbank campus sits upon 22.4 acres of land with beauty on all sides. The campus sits against the Verdugo Foothills with the big cities and beaches only a car ride away. The campus offers housing, a dining hall, Los Angeles Times library, computer labs, faculty offices and a fitness center. Students also have access to a variety of athletic programs with basketball and volleyball courts on site. Woodbury concerns itself with the success of its students with academic and personal counseling as well as career services. Courses Woodbury offers its students a school of business with courses in accounting and fashion marketing and a school of architecture with courses in animation and graphic design. There is also a school of media, culture and design. Transdisciplinary studies give students an opportunity to focus on two or more disciplines or focus on a major in politics and history studies. Woodbury offers graduate programs that include master of architecture, master of architecture in real estate development, master of business administration or master of organizational leadership. Students can also take part in writing programs, the writing center, English preparation courses or study abroad opportunities. Woodbury is a college with numerous education and career possibilities.
