Platt Colleges have a long history that includes many campuses and program additions since its first school opened its doors in 1879. Platt focuses on individual talents and provides students with the skills training that they need in order to succeed in the competitive workplace. The college pairs traditional classroom training with hands on job experiences. The job market is continually evolving and Platt College offers multimedia training, website design classes, and video production with lifetime career assistance and industry networking opportunities. Campus The San Diego campus is made up of 16,700 square feet of classrooms and labs. Also on campus are the administrative offices and a library with computer access and various reference materials. The classrooms are small in size with an average of around 30 students. Equipment at the campus is up to date with what the career industries are using. Having a San Diego campus gives students a climate that allows for year round outdoor activities and scenic views and local attractions on all sides of the city. Courses Platt College in San Diego offers students programs in 3D animation, digital video production, graphic design, and web design. The 3D program has a diploma and bachelor of science degree in media arts with a study in 3D. The digital video production offers the same degree and diploma. In the graphic design program students can choose from a bachelor of science degree in media arts, diploma in the field and an associate of applied science degree in the field. The web design program offers a bachelor of science degree and a diploma and advanced diploma in the field. All the courses have professional development courses to learn software applications.
