About the college
At the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine they are committed to excellent patient care with while using natural means to treat the sick and ailing. The school believes that Oriental medicine and natural medical treatments do work and that the education can be taught. At Pacific College the training relies on the fact that people learn by observing and reason is taught in the classroom with clinical practices done later in the education process. Campus San Diego is a city with local attractions like museums, entertainment venues, even a zoo and glorious, peaceful views. For these reasons it makes an ideal location for Pacific College’s campus. The college of Oriental medicine has a rich history that dates back to 1986 and today the San Diego campus lies within the city’s Mission Valley District. The campus sits upon 21,000 square foot facility within a medical and technology park. The facility has eight classrooms and a library filled with Oriental medicine information. Also on campus is an acupuncture clinic with 17 treatment rooms and an herbal pharmacy. Courses The San Diego campus offers future Oriental medicine graduates doctorate, master, bachelor and associate degrees and also a certificate program as a massage therapist/Asian Bodywork. The doctorate is in acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the master degree is in acupuncture and traditional Oriental Medicine Programs. Students can earn a Bachelor of Health Science degree, which is Asian Holistic Health and Massage. The associate degree is in applied science/holistic health science. All programs can include clinical work for hands on training with patients and professionals in Oriental medicine. At Pacific College they can train you to appreciate the ideals of Oriental medicine and natural remedies for sick patients. The end result is health care practitioners that approach ailments with an open mind for all healing practices.
