About the college
Being the second largest, private, nonprofit in California National University consists of five different schools and one college. They provide more master’s degrees than any other university or college in California to minorities. They offer 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees, 22 teacher credential/certificate programs. They are also a leader in the online education program. Online they have over 1200 courses and more than 50 graduate and undergraduate degrees. The University now has over 25 campuses throughout California and one in Nevada. The staff is dedicated to excellent educational training to make sure their students succeed in the career of their choice.
About the campus
National university does not have on campus housing or meals. You can go to student services and they have a list of available apt, houses and lofts that rent to just students. They also have cafes and restaurants that have student discounts on meals. There are even some Host Families in the area that rent a room and breakfast or a room and two meals. They ask you always make sure you are home for meals. That is why many students choose the breakfast option. Just in case, their studies make it hard to be home for two meals.
About the courses
Education and Teaching is the main courses but there are many others including: Art Studies, Business Management, Computer Science and Engineering, Education and teaching, Law, Liberal Arts just to name a few. You can find information on financial aid in the student services office. It is available to all who are eligible. Tuition is usually around $9,720 and books range about $1,386. In 2007, the total number of students was $26,363 with $15,430 being full time. They also offer part time studies for those who cannot do a whole day, every day.
