About the college

Over 100 years women were looking for that miracle cure that could make them look youthful. A woman by the name of Ruth Maurer started it all when she cooked up a batch of face cream in 1903. With the help of her husband they opened the Marinello School of Beauty 2 years later and the school has been making over the world ever since. The beauty school offers hands on salon training with procedures performed on the community all while under professional supervision.

Campus

In Reseda, California future beauty graduates can find the campus of the Marinello School of Beauty. California is a state where students can find many salons where the skills that they learned at the school will come in handy. The beauty field is a growing career industry and Marinello is dedicated to giving students the basics to get them into local salons as soon as possible. In addition, students can start their careers as hair stylists and manicurists and one day own their very own salon.

Courses

The Reseda location offers students two career programs to choose from. They are cosmetology and manicuring. The cosmetology program includes hair care with a 1600 clocked hour course or a barbering course, which requires 1500 hours for a license. The cosmetology program covers hair care, sanitation, anatomy, esthetics, nail care and salon business practices. The barbering program covers hair cuts, styles, shaves, hair pieces and rolling cream massages.

The manicuring program requires 400 clocked hours for a license. The program teaches nail care, acrylic nails, nail art and salon business all with classroom work and salon training.
