About the college
The InterAmerican College is dedicated to providing education for working adult students, immigrants and Latinos that have been denied higher education because of their gender, race, ethnicity or economic status. InterAmerican College has four colleges in the US and the National City campus is the second one located in the state of California. The college offers flexibility in scheduling so that students can work and attend to family without compromising education. Campus InterAmerican College, or IAC, has a campus located in National City that is south of San Diego. The college is a private, non-profit institution that teaches the core values of integrity like responsibility, fairness and honesty. The school also focuses on diversity, bilingualism, innovation, creativity and the support and commitment of family. IAC has a mission to serve both the community and the working adult. The campus gives students a diverse culture and student body within the beauty of the state of California. Courses IAC offers students courses that focus on Bachelor of Arts degrees in liberal studies, Spanish and interdisciplinary studies. Students can also earn a bachelor degree in science. IAC has two teaching credential programs. One is for single subject and the other is multiple subjects. Certificate programs can serve as stepping stones for a 4-year university. The school offers certificates in varying fields of study like library science, science, language and culture, procedural coders and the history/archeology of early California. A nursing program at IAC gives students the chance to earn an entry-level master of science in nursing and move into the healthcare field. All of the programs offered give students the skills to use in the workforce and propel their careers beyond their wildest dreams.
