Bridges Academy is a college dedicated to making its students the best in the areas of cosmetology, nails, and hair. The school ensures that with their training students will pass the required state licensing exams and give them a leg up on their competition for careers in the fields they choose to work. Students can complete programs to achieve status as a manicurist, makeup artist, salon owner, hair stylist, or colorist. Campus 423 East Main Street in Barstow, California is where Bridges Academy of Beauty calls home. The campus is 5,400 square feet of with areas for hands on practice. There is a lab area that gives students modern technology with up to date supplies for the best in beauty education. A skin care room with dermal lights and a dermal scope give students wanting skin care careers the best equipment to work with. Four facial beds and a steamer are also available. Students wishing to learn the fundamentals of a salon operation have the opportunity to learn business desk skills, like answering phones and using a cash register. Courses The Bridges Academy of Beauty offers students three courses to choose from. Cosmetology, manicurist, and cosmetician all have programs at the college. Cosmetology requires 1,600 work hours in order to graduate. Students learn all aspects of beauty including hair chemical services, haircutting, nails, and scalp treatments. The school offers job placement for graduates as well as current students. After graduation, a student’s name is added to the registrar and interviews are set up. Bridges Academy has a faculty complete with professionals that teach students all the skills that they need in order to succeed. The college is creating beauty professional’s one haircut and facial at a time.
