About the College

The American Jewish University is an institution that brings Jewish ethics, learning, culture and other aspects to its students and faculty. The college has deep roots in Jewish history that date back to 1941 when the University of Judaism was founded. Independent training through communities of Jewish belief sprang up and was well respected in the time that followed. Years later, the university that we have today is one of high honor and religious understanding.

The campus at the American Jewish University is one that brings learning in from all over the world. Their library, OCLC Interlibrary Loan, is one that connects to libraries all over the United States to give students phenomenal research areas for learning, projects, and discussions. A 27-acre area is what the university lies upon and its location is in Bel Air, California. The campus has great view, an area adjacent to it for hiking and is easily connected to Southern California, Hollywood and shopping, dining and beaches.

The programs offered at the American Jewish University take students into deep studies of the culture and other areas of interest. Programs include both liberal and Jewish studies, behavioral sciences, business, bioethics and natural sciences and many more. Joint B.A. plus M.B.A. programs and B.A. plus M.A. ED programs are also available. To apply for consideration to this prestigious college one must have successful completion of college work while still in high school and two letters of recommendation. Test scores and your GPA must also be submitted with an essay describing academic and extra curricular experience and what your future plans are and how the college fits in with those.
