About the college

In 1988, the Oriental Mission Church started a prayer that would later turn into the World Mission University, WMU. The church wanted a seminary where training for missionaries, pastors and lay persons could be held. Two years later and the prayer became a reality and the university held its first training classes. In 2003, the World Mission University moved to its current campus location in mid-Wilshire.

Campus

Mid-Wilshire in downtown Los Angeles, California is the location for WMU and its campus. LA provides students with stunning views, architecture, live music, culture and entertainment at every turn. The faculty at WMU are all faith committed with the word of God as their handbook. Student life at the university includes new and returning student orientations, fellowship, bible study club, book reading club, student ministry work at local churches and personal counseling on campus. Upon graduation, career services are offered and those looking for ministry work, locally and globally, or work to serve Jesus Christ are met with help and assistance.

Courses

WMU offers masters, bachelors and non degree programs. The master’s degrees include master of divinity and degrees in theology or music. Bachelor’s programs are offered in biblical studies and music. The non degree programs at WMU include early childhood education, an intensive English program, music program and Christian counseling. The distance learning offered at the university reaches students from around the world and teaches then to become bible centered and leaders of Christian ministry and the church.
