About the College
Northwest College is located in Riverside California and was founded in 1966 by Mrs. Marsha Fuerst. The college does not discriminate against anyone no matter their race, color, or creed. The college focuses on the healthcare field and the business field. Northwest college has a focus on getting their students the career they want in a short time period. The teachers at Northwest College are all trained professionals who hold degrees themselves so you are sure to be trained by only the best. The college is dedicated to their students on giving them the best education possible.
Campus
Northwest College Riverside does not offer students on campus housing. Students may find apartments or houses they can rent that are located near the campus. There is parking available on the campus and there is also public transportation available to get back and forth to the campus. The Campus is decorated and well equipped to give the environment at the school a warm and comfy feeling for the students. The campus offers students financial aid to help get students going financially for college.
Courses
Northwest College in Riverside offers programs in the healthcare field. These programs can be earned in a short time period. The first program they offer is Pharmacy Technician. This program student can learn is packaging medications, filling patient’s prescriptions, preparing IV’s, calculating doses and labeling prescriptions. The next program they offer is Vocational Nurse LVN. This program you can learn how to give patients the care they need while working under a licensed physician or a register nurse. The next program they offer is Medical Assistant. Here you can learn how to set up examination rooms, give immunizations, take EKG’s and perform various lab tests. The last program they offer is Massage Therapy. This is where you can learn to help patients with pain in certain areas of the body and help them get rid of their pain.
