About the college

Modern Beauty Academy is a part of quality beauty education within a great California location. The education at the academy is hands on with the skills needed to pass the California State board exam. Students of the college will learn the basics of the cosmetology field with an opportunity to network with the community providing students the chance to perform actual cosmetic procedures on those who may one day become their clients. Students also get a chance to learn customer service skills and basic business operations.

Campus

The Oxnard campus gives students a beautiful place to study beauty and a great state with plenty of local salons for cosmetology careers. Before attending classes at the academy students benefit from help with financial aid and then upon graduation the school helps with career placement. Modern Beauty Academy offers open enrollment with a student body that is predominantly female, although males do attend the academy. The faculty members at the academy are professionals in their chosen beauty field and salon business and techniques are taught on a high level.

Courses

The course offered at the Modern Beauty Academy is a program in the cosmetology field that can completed in less than 2 years. This give graduates the opportunity to enter the workforce and salons sooner with the skills required to secure a job. The program at the academy teaches students how to trim/shape/cut facial, body and scalp. That is not all though. Students will also learn the fundamentals of hair cutting and style, manicuring and pedicures, facial treatments and esthetics, as well as labor laws, sanitation and salon business.
