About the college
Mills College has been a leader in quality liberal arts education for over 150 years. Years ago, Mills College was a college for only women. Since then the college has added programs to its curriculum that are offered to both men and women. The college has quite a reputation for being on the top of the education ladder. It was fourth among top colleges in the west and seventh for colleges with quality education at an affordable tuition cost. Campus Mills College is located in Oakland, California on 135 acres of land. The campuses location is close to the Bay Bridge and the city of San Francisco. Student life here is surrounded by lush trees, innovative architecture and a great place to live, learn and relax. On campus students can enjoy an art museum, aquatics, concerts, dining, outdoor activities like hiking and walks through the park and various student clubs. Courses At the Oakland campus, students are offered undergraduate, graduate, grants and special programs, opportunities to study abroad in Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America and Africa and internships. With undergraduate programs, students can choose various programs to train in. These include anthropology, art history, book art, nursing, physics and a list from A-Z. the graduate programs offer students studies in studio art, biochemistry, computer science, dance, education, English, infant mental health, MBA programs, mathematics, music, pre med and public policy for students who want to change policies. The school also has a new graduate program with a master of fine arts degree in book art and creative writing.
