About the College
The Holy Names University is home in the Oakland Hills on 60 wooded acres. The college provides a beautiful and scenic place for educational study. Campus The campus at Holy Names University, as mentioned above, is in the Oakland Hills. The location of the college is not just one for beauty and solitude but is only a few short minutes from sporting events, museums, and performing arts. Along with these opportunities, the college is close enough to wonderful day long or weekend trips including Monterey Bay, Napa Valley wineries, Sonoma County wineries, Yosemite National Park, Carmel, Lake Tahoe, and Sierra Gold Country. The area is also home to many different parks for a variety of outdoor activities including biking, horseback riding, and hiking. Courses Undergraduate Programs at Holy Names University include seventeen areas. These studies include Business Communication, Business Management, Business Marketing, Criminology, International Business, English, History, International Relations, Latin American and Latino Studies, Liberal Studies, Music, Philosophy, Psychobiology, Psychology, Religious Studies, Sociology, Sports Management, Teaching - Elementary K-6, and Teaching - Junior High and High School. The nursing program is a partnership program with Samuel Merritt University. Master's Degree Programs at Holy Names University include MBA, Counseling Psychology, Culture & Spirituality, Education, English, Music, Nursing, and Pastoral Ministries. Ninety percent of all faculty members hold doctorates or the highest degree available in their field.
