Estes Institute is a dedicated school of cosmetology arts and science. The school teaches the basic skills of the beauty field so that graduates can walk away from the school with an understanding and love for cosmetology and their chosen career. Campus The campus for Estes Institute of Cosmetology Arts and Science is located in the city of Visalia in California. The school campus has a real world set up as a salon for hands on training. Visalia is part of Tulare County and has a variety of activities for students to enjoy. The campus does not offer on site housing, but they do help with school costs with financial aid to those who qualify. Courses Estes offers its students 2 courses of study that are directly related to the beauty field. One is in manicuring, which takes less than 1 year to complete and the other is cosmetology, which is a less than 2-year course. The manicuring program can lead graduates to careers as a nail technician or manicurist with classes devoted to shaping fingernails and toenails, applying polish to those, skin anatomy, nail growth and all other areas involving nail care. The cosmetology program has a wide spectrum of knowledge for students to learn. That includes body hair removal, cutting and trimming, cosmetic procedures, hair cutting and styling and customer service. With a successful and rewarding career in the beauty field students can make over the community one client at a time.
