About the College
Cosumnes River College was opened on September 14th, 1970 with about 1,800 daytime students and around 350 nighttime students. Now of today there are over 14,000 students that are enrolled. Cosumnes River College offers 176 types of degrees and certificates in 50 diverse occupational and transfer programs. The college tries to aim their students in the best direction that they are looking for. That is why the college offers their students financial aid services and counseling services. The college is also available to the community as well. The college offers community groups to come in and rent the facility as long as it does not interfere with any of the educational programs that may be going on in the school. The Cosumnes River College also holds Geographic Bees where students participate from across the country. Campus Cosumnes River College does not offer on campus housing but there are apartments and houses off campus. You are sure to find roommates to room with or rent one yourself. The campus does however off a on campus bookstore, career center, computer labs, Library, Math Canter that supplies resources and support for students with math courses, Health services, Reading and Writing center, Tutoring Center and Student Support center are just to name some. The campus is built to help students achieve the best education they can.
