About the college

Chabot College is located in the San Francisco Bay area and Tom Hanks is one of the most famous graduates. This college has a Little theatre, a planetarium, four athletic fields, and a swimming pool the size of an Olympic Pool. The college even has a flea market once a month. This college is accredited with being a school for Dental Education, Hospital health, Nursing and is a member of the American Association of Community and Junior Colleges and the Community College league of California.

Courses

Besides health care, Chabot also offers Technology & Business, Arts and Humanities, Health, PE & Athletics, Psychology-Counseling, Language Arts, Science & Math and Social Science. The sub categories vary under each one. Chabot also offers online learning for those whose schedules cannot handle full time studies. Online courses are taught by a qualified instructor just like in class courses. They require the same as regular school. You will need email and internet access to enroll in online glasses. Financial aid is available for online as is in class.

Campus

Chabot College was the first one opened by the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District opening up on January 10, 1961. The classes officially opened September 11, 1961. The enrollment has topped 14,500 students from around the world. The campus is built around a plaza, which is surrounded by trees that make it a serene place to sit and study. They do not offer on campus housing or meals but they do offer a day care for the students with children. They are taught with qualified staff instructors and most parents meet the eligibility for free daycare or low cost. They have daycare from 7:30am-10pm M-Thursday and only until 4pm on Fridays. Students taking early Childhood classes get hands on training in the daycare. They are always supervised while they learn.
