About the college

CET- Santa Maria is a school that dedicates its time and faculty towards those who desire education. CET is a school where students can learn basic job skills through a hands-on real world training experience. The CET, Center for Employment Training, has many schools around the US and they are trying to help low income neighborhoods get ahead. The institution is not for profit and is located in the small cit of Santa Maria.

Campus

The campus in Santa Maria allows students from all over the United States to attend CET with open admission. Students can take a variety of job related courses while they set their own pace. CET offers education to all types of students ranging from those starting off their education journey and those who want to continue their education. The training received is hands on and mimics real world job experiences. Students not only learn the skills, but they also obtain common work practices to lead them to a great work ethic. Attendance, punctuality, and determination are also part of coursework.

Courses

The courses at CET- Santa Maria offer students a variety of skills to learn through high demand job training programs. The degrees are divided into 2 separate programs, one being less than 1 year to complete and the other less than 2 years. The programs offered include the following fields of study: medical assistant, vehicle/equipment operator, building and construction management, administrative and clerical, computer science and electrician. The courses at CET can get students jobs within the customer service field and beyond.
