The campus gives the training for each student to achieve an entry-level career in whatever technical career that they choose. Courses The college offers students five course studies to choose from. X-Ray Technician is a program that takes only 10 months to complete with 44 credit hours. The program teaches students the basics of x-rays involved in the chest, extremities and torso skeletal anatomical areas. The course requires that students have medical assistant experience and it can lead a student to a career in an entry-level position as an X-ray Technician. The X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant program is the prerequisite for students who have no medical assisting experience and wish to work as an X-Ray Tech. The program takes 1 year to complete. Central California School also offers a medical assistant program as well as a dental assistant program that each take 9 months to complete. A 2-year program called Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound is also available for those wishing to be an entry-level sonographer. The last program is Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist and those graduates can work in hospitals. Central California College is your pathway to the future.
