About the college

Yeshiva Ohr is a private, not for profit educational institution that provides quality education in religion and philosophy. The school is quite selective for student enrollment and does not have open admission. The student body at Yeshiva is mostly male, however women do make up a portion of the student body. The seminary trains students in the skills that are necessary to understand and master the Talmud and Jewish thought.

Campus

The campus for the seminary is located in the city of culture, diversity and creativity and that city is Los Angeles. LA has picturesque views with mountains, deserts and beaches close to the campus. Students also get a city with museums, restaurants, shopping centers, outdoor activities that can be done all year long with the great California climate and entertainment opportunities around every corner. The campus offers housing for its students, an on site library and a meal plan.

Courses

At Yeshiva there is a bachelor’s degree program offered in Talmudic Studies. The program prepares students for Talmudic scholarship and research. Students learn what is required of them to be able to enter a program for ordination as Rabbis. The program teaches Jewish Law and Jurisprudence, philosophy, ethics and the study of Talmud. Once this program is complete students can enter graduate and professional schools. Religion, education and philosophy all go together quite harmoniously at Yeshiva Talmudical Seminary. In the end graduates of the school can go on to rewarding careers that involve religion and leadership.
