Whittier College is a 4 year liberal arts college that challenges its students to question life and their surroundings. The college encourages students to wonder about the world around them and what their place in the world will be. In 1887, Whittier College was put on the map and the school pushes the envelope when it comes to traditional education and learning restraints. The liberal arts campus is located in Whittier, California. The campus is located in the heart of southern California with the city of LA and Orange County close by. Whittier is a small city, but do not let that fool you. The intimate setting provides a family style atmosphere for the students with the big city just a short drive away. The 74 acres provide students with on campus housing, administrative offices, classrooms and scenic beauty from all sides. Courses

Whittier College provides students with 30 major and 30 minor programs for student’s to reach their full potential. The college has a liberal education program, scholar’s program, graduate program in education, writing program and study abroad opportunities. Students can take courses in a variety of studies like biology, law, modern languages, religious studies, scientific computing, social work and urban studies. Whittier also has a Center for Academic Success that can take students to the next level in their education and career.

Liberal arts education can take you as far as you want to go. At Whittier, they give you the tools to ask the questions that some may not be willing to ask. That kind of drive makes for a very successful and rewarding career.
