About the college

Westminster Theological Seminary has been preparing men for pastoral ministry since 1980. The seminary teaches theological education, the scriptures, Gospel of Christ, importance of church and preaching and Reformed confessions. Those are the basis on which the seminary was built upon and runs today. In 1980, there were no Reformed seminaries in the western United States and Westminster was the first one to be put on the map.

Campus

The campus for the seminary is located in Escondido, California in North San Diego County. The campus has a library on site, experienced pastors for faculty and a location that puts the seminary minutes away from the Pacific Ocean. Escondido provides students with a beautiful year round climate, sunny beaches, local attractions and the San Diego Wild Animal Park. There is also the California Center of Arts, shopping centers and a weekly farmer’s market. The purpose on campus is Christ, Gospel and the church. It is religion mixed with education in a family style campus.

Courses

Westminster Theological Seminary in California offers four degree programs for its students. They are master of divinity, master of arts in biblical studies, historical theology or theological studies. Courses include Old Testament, New Testament, church history, historical theology, systematic theology, apologetics, practical theology, field education and an institute of theological studies with its own programs and courses. Here students can study the book of Psalms, reformation church history and other religious oriented courses. There is also an Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies.

At the seminary, students can turn their religious beliefs, values and ideals into rewarding and successful careers. Graduates can turn their futures into ministry work locally in California or around the world. Westminster is a school of faith, study, fellowship and prayer for all of its students and their success.
