The programs at the college can train students for career in the medical field within a hands on atmosphere and the required coursework.

Courses

The programs at the WCUI campus include medical assistant, vocational nursing, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), cardiovascular echosonography, diagnostic medical sonography and pediatric cardiac ultrasound and congenital heart disease. The medical assistant program is 720 hours of medical terminology, patient care and phlebotomy. The vocational nursing is a one-year program while the MRI program teaches the skills and tasks required to work in an entry-level position. Cardiovascular Echosonography teaches anatomy of the heart, vascular ultrasound and students take part in an externship.


Diagnostic Medical Sonography gets an introduction to imaging, anatomy and radiology. The last course offered is in pediatric cardiac ultrasound and congenital heart disease where students will learn the anatomy of the heart and pediatrics. At WCUI, they can prepare and train you for a rewarding career in the medical field. Your education could save a life or cure a disease.
