About the college

The garment industry is a growing career market. People need clothes and garments need people to make them. At the Virginia Sewing Machines and School Center, they are dedicated to teaching the basics and the fundamentals of the garment field. The school is committed to teaching the Hispanic community for careers in sewing, garments and clothes making. With the right skills and a great work ethic, students can graduate from the Virginia School to go on to rewarding careers.

Campus

Los Angeles is a city full of culture, diversity and career opportunities within the garment industry. The Virginia School Center is located in LA and to provide quality skills and boost its students self esteem for brighter futures. Trade schools are great for teaching students skills that can get them into the workforce. The Virginia School is a trade school with degrees in fashion design, the medical field and the mechanics and repair of appliances. The garment industry is in high demand, but so are careers in the health field and those that require you to work with your hands.

Courses

At the Virginia Sewing Machines and School Center, there are 5 programs for students to choose from. They are fashion/apparel design, apparel and textile manufacture, appliance installation and repair technology/technician, apparel and textiles and medical/clinical assistant. Each program has a required amount of hours that must be completed in order to graduate and individual tuition costs.

At the Virginia School, they are giving the Hispanic community an opportunity to go to college and earn career-strengthening skills. In the end graduates leave with the skills needed to impress employers and become a leader in the workforce. Both the individual and the community benefit from the Virginia School Center.
