About the College
Opening in 1969 made Skyline College one of three in the San Mateo County Community College District. There have been journalists, mathematicians, and scientists that have graduated from Skyline. This college offers a convenient location, low cost, high quality education and you can be on the road to your four-year degree by starting out at Skyline. Many students transfer to Berkley, Stanford, UCLA, and other top universities to continue. About the Campus There are many activities on campus at Skyline. There is a community center for the students to gather and relax and share. They do not offer on campus housing but they receive lists from the realtors in the area when they have openings in the houses they rent to students. They post them in the cafeteria on the third floor in building 2. They offer spaces to venders who want to sell a product or have fund raisers to help the local community. There is an on campus library and bookstore on campus. They also have many sports activities for the students to participate in. The cafeteria offers full meals or a quick snack. They also have a catering service to host your event. Check the hours posted that they are open. Skyline also has a child development center open to students and staff with children. About the Courses Students who come to Skyline attain employment and advance into the business world after earning their certificate from Skylines 43 certificate programs. Some of the programs offered include Automotive Technology, Biotechnology, and Cosmetology, Business, Early Childhood Education, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technology, and Telecommunications & Network Information Technology. You can speak to the student services about them when you sign up for classes. They will answer any and all questions you may have.
