About the college

The Marinello Schools of Beauty have a rich history that dates back to 1903. That was the year that Ruth Maurer used a gas jet in her basement to make face cream. Her mission was to give women their youth back and her products started to sell worldwide and then in 1905 she and her opened the very first Marinello School of Beauty in downtown LA. Today the schools can be found in five states within 41 campuses. The school is committed to hands on training and cosmetology education skills that benefit the graduate and the community.

Campus

At the City of Industry campus in California students have what the name suggests - a city of industry. Here students can network with the community as they pass through the salon, build a strong clientele, and move on to careers in the growing beauty industry. At the City of Industry campus the training starts in the classroom and then moves into the campus salon where students get live clients to practice what they have learned.

Courses

The Marinello campus in City of Industry offers the new generation of beauty students programs in cosmetology, manicuring, esthetics and a teacher-training program too. Each program has a required number of clocked worked hours that pairs coursework with salon training. In California there is no licensing required for teachers in the beauty fields, but graduates can still obtain a teacher training certificate in the program.

Once graduated students can confidently walk into any salon knowing that they are prepared with the skills needed to succeed. The devotion of the Marinello School of Beauty students once they graduate with career placement services. The college wants to help you become the next biggest name in make up or hair styling.
