About the college

With a rich history, dedicated professional faculty, beauty driven programs and various campus locations it is easy to see why the Marinello Schools of Beauty are in a leader in education. The school opened its doors in 1905 after Ruth Maurer discovered she could make face cream and there was a demand for it. Today the schools are located in five states with 41 campus locations. The mission is the same as it ever was - to provide quality education in beauty and help students take their creativity and use it a fast growing career field.

Campus

West Covina, California is the location of a Marinello School of Beauty campus. The city is full of beauty, outdoor activities, and close proximity to California’s larger cities. The students get to enjoy hands on training at the campus salon where they can work on clients with supervision and build relationships with the community. In the classroom students, take a fake board exam to prepare them for the real thing. There are even guest speakers, professional’s products for you to use, student kits with the tools of the trade included and student competitions for prizes.

Courses

At the West Covina campus, the future graduates can choose from manicuring and cosmetology programs. The manicuring program is a 400 clocked hour program with the focus on nail care. The cosmetology program has a 1600 clocked hours and 1500-clocked hours course to choose from. The 1500-hour course focuses on barbering while the other is focused on general cosmetology like hair and nails.
