About the college

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and at Manchester Beauty College their students are making the community beautiful one patron at a time. The mission of Manchester is to provide students with quality training through both classroom work and hands on salon education. The beauty field is a growing industry and the school wants to ensure that its graduates are at the top of their game when they enter the workforce. Graduates can work in salons as hair stylists, make up artists, or nail technicians and some may go on to owning their own salon one day.

Campus

In Fresno, California, students have the beautiful Manchester campus surrounded by breathtaking landscape and numerous outdoor activities. At the campus, students have academic and career counseling available to them plus employment services and employment placement upon graduation. Hands on training is followed by required coursework by the students. Once achieved students can enter the salon floor and begin practicing various beauty applications on the public. Each student is carefully supervised by a professional at the campus.

Courses

At Manchester, the courses are offered day and evening for convenient and flexible scheduling. Students can even hold down part time jobs while attending classes. Degrees are offered in less than 1 year and less than 2-year programs. In less than 1 year, students can earn a degree in general cosmetology or make up artist. The cosmetology program teaches hair cutting and styling, facial hair and body hair sculpting, manicures and pedicures, shop management and customer service.

The makeup artist program teaches how to professionally apply make up, perform makeovers with wigs, masks and other make up applications. Manchester also offers a cosmetology program that takes less than 2 years to complete. The program teaches all of the basic applications within the beauty field. All three programs offer certificates upon completion and set up students to pass California’s state beauty exam. Making the world beautiful is easy with Manchester.
