About the college
Religion and education go hand in hand at Loyola Marymount University, or LMU. The university is Catholic influenced with roots in Marymount and Jesuit traditions. Loyola was founded in 1911 and has been teaching the word of God ever since. The mission at LMU is to educate the whole person with faith and justice based learning that leads graduates to careers that help the community and the common good. Campus The campus of LMU is located in west LA on 150 acres of land. LA is a city of diversity and beauty.
