Los Angeles Pierce College was founded in 1947 and the school has a high transfer rate. Pierce College serves as a starter college where students can learn new career skills or up date old ones and then transfer to a 4-year university or head straight into the workforce. The school offers close to 100 fields of study with a dedicated faculty and beautiful campus with close proximity to a variety of local attractions.

Campus

Pierce College is located in Woodland Hills, California. The campus can be found on 426 acres with close proximity to Universal Studios, Disney Studios and Hollywood. The beauty of the campus is unbeatable with warm summers, not too cold winters and trees and livestock surrounding the entire campus. The Malibu beach is also close to the campus for a break between studies. Student services at the college include a bookstore, library, child development center, counseling, workshops, and financial aid to those who qualify.

Courses

Careers in healthcare, technology and law enforcement are some of high demand jobs that students train for. Pierce College offers degree and two types of certificate programs: certificate of achievement and occupational certificates. Students can take courses in art, biology, business administration, addiction studies, computers, and theater arts.

Pierce College offers programs by school, which focus on a particular field of study. There is a school of arts and languages, one of social and behavioral sciences, another in mathematics, science, business and nursing and lastly career and technical education.
