About the College
John Wesley was established in 1992 and if you want a degree in cosmetology or barbering then this is the school for you! You can go here and get your degree in as little as 1 year. They do not hand out degrees you will receive certificate. You will be able to start your career and go on to own your own business after graduation from John Wesley International. Many students come from out of state, which shows the high quality of this school.
About the campus
The John Wesley International Barber and Beauty College does not offer on campus housing or meals plans. You will be able to talk to student services and they can help you in finding some accommodations while you study here. There are many host families that rent out rooms with both breakfast and a room or two meals with a room. You have to decide which one fits your schedule because you must be home for the meal you choose. Many students prefer breakfast because they know for sure they will be there. There are many efficiency apartments that have one room with a bathroom and they share a kitchen with others.
About the courses
The courses available are in beauty and cosmetology. You will learn the many hairstyles as well as coloring, thermal straightening, and perms. Cosmetology takes 1600 hours of studying and practicing on other students as well. You will be in the salon under the supervision of trained instructors. You can also choose esthetician or Cosmetician Training. Barber training is 1500 hours of practice and study to receive your barber’s license. John Wesley is N.A.C.C.A.S. Certified so you know you are guaranteed a top-notch instructor. Financial aid is available to students who qualify.
