About the college

In 1968, Dr. John Kappas founded the Hypnosis Motivation Institute. This institute is the first nationally accredited college of hypnotherapy. The school provides hypnotherapy training and an internship program for its students. Online learning has now become a part of flexible learning and the Hypnosis Motivation Institute has online courses for learning at home or office. The online training can be accessed day or night with lectures and classroom work that are in tune with the training at the campus.

Campus

The Hypnosis Motivation Institute has a campus located in Tarzana, California. Attending the campus involves students in a one-year training program with a clinical internship-training program. The flexibility of classes at the institute gives students the opportunity to study to become a licensed hypnotherapist while still attending to children, work, family and friends. The resident students go to class 2 evenings a week and only one Saturday morning a month is required, but students can attend more if they like.

Courses

Courses at the institute can be taken at no charge for those who qualify. The Hypnosis 101 course teaches the definition of hypnosis and how to trigger hypnotic response, step by step instruction on how to hypnotize, group and self-hypnosis. Other no charge classes include studies in the areas of relationship strategies, therapeutic imagery, self hypnosis made easy and experience in past life regression.

The curriculum at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute has six steps. The steps include 101 Hypnosis, 201 Clinical Hypnosis, 301 Hypnotherapy, Handwriting Analysis, 401 Clinical Applications and 501 Clinical Residency. Within months, you can be on your way to a career as a hypnotherapist or a neuro linguistic programming practitioner with courses provided by the Hypnosis Motivation Institute.
