About the College
Fuller Theological Seminary was established by radio evangelist Charles E. Fuller in 1947. Enrollment the first year was 39 students meeting at the Lake Avenue Congregational Church in Pasadena, California. In 1953, the seminary moved to its present location in Pasadena. The Fuller Theological Seminary is an evangelical, multi-denominational, international, and multiethnic community, which is dedicated to providing men and women with the necessary education for various ministries of Christ and His church. The seminary is committed to ministry through graduate education, spiritual information, and professional development. The seminary strived for excellence in their service of Jesus Christ in all activities at the school including worship, instruction, nurture, publication, and research, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Campus The Fuller Theological Seminary in California encompasses over 13 acres that provide residential areas, community spaces, offices, and classrooms. New buildings are under construction including a new library the David Allan Hubbard Library. The Fuller Theological Seminary main campus is home in Pasadena California with other campuses throughout the United States including California Coast, Northern California, Northwest, Southwest, Colorado, and Texas. The Fuller Theological Seminary also offers the Master of Arts in Global Leadership degree online. Academics Fuller Theological Seminary in California is home to three schools, which include the School of Theology, School of Psychology, and the School of Intercultural Studies. The schools offers masters degrees, doctoral degrees, and certificate programs. In most cases there are six courses to complete the program. The school follows a quarter-system academic calendar. New quarters begin in September, January, March, and June. The majority of courses carry four quarter units of credit. At the end of each Spring Quarter, graduation ceremonies are held. Fuller Theological Seminary graduates will demonstrate an understanding of Christian theology, ministry, and spirituality.
