About the college

Honestly, in the beginning in 1879 in St. Joseph, Missouri, there was no Fremont College. The college began as Platt College, which was a private school. In 1986, a new campus was opened in California. Shortly, the courses and curriculum evolved thus the reason for a new name – Fremont College.

Fremont College has several accreditation including the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) to award Associate of Arts degrees (AA), Associate of Science degrees (AS), and Diplomas. Along with this, the accreditation allows the college to participate in many Federal Financial Aid Programs. The Paralegal Studies Courses are approved by the American Bar Association.

From the small beginning to a college known throughout the United States, the college is producing successful graduates ready to step out into their chosen field with confidence.

Campus

The college offers campus programs including Paralegal Studies, Sports & Rehabilitation Therapy, Massage Therapy, Accounting, Human Resources, and Internet Marketing. Within the campus, students will find the School of Business, School of Legal Studies, and School of Wellness.

While living on campus students can expect guides along the way. Fremont College offers student Ambassadors as peer guides to help each student succeed. As well as Student Ambassadors, other helpers are around as well such as Peer Tutor, Peer Coach, and Peer Concierge.

Online Courses

Fremont College offers students the chance to further their education without attending classes through online classes. The online courses include Accounting, Human Resources, and Internet Marketing.

Fremont College has a unique approach to teaching, which is known as PAL or Professional Action Learning. This is a six-step process, which are included in each classroom session. These six steps are Content Delivery, Questioning Dialogue, Group Discussion, Debrief Teach Back, Final Reflective Summary Project, and Learning Archive.
