About the college

For nearly 40 years, De Anza College has been a leader in education at a community college. The college offers general education courses as well as vocational studies. The school has quite a diverse curriculum with courses online and in classroom, on the job training, internships, and a strong involvement with the community. De Anza has all-star athletes, a strong animation program and transfer programs that can be completed in as little as 2 years.

Campus

The De Anza College campus is located in Cupertino, California. 112 acres of land make up the campus in the heart of the Silicon Valley. The student body at the college includes those from local cities, but international students make up for a large quantity of the students. The campus is full of student activities including a student government, clubs, intramural team sports, as well as intercollegiate sports competitions. The school has a unique activity and it is a flea market that is held on the first Saturday of every month.

Courses

Whatever field of interest you have, De Anza has a program for you. The college has a list from A-Z that can help you gain new job skills, sharpen existing skills or take classes and transfer to a 4-year university at a later date. De Anza offers distance-learning courses through online and cable TV media. Students have access to over 70 departments with they can earn a certificate or degree in their chosen field. Some of the programs offered include applied technologies, creative arts, social sciences and humanities and special education.
