About the college

Biola University has been a leader in Christian education for over 100 years. The school was founded in 1908 with a belief in God that would oversee education as well as life. The college offers more than 145 faith based academic programs that teach students about Him and their own purpose in life. The faculty and staff at Biola are all professed Christians and the students that attend the college practice those same beliefs too.

Campus

Biola calls La Mirada, California home. The campus is located at 13800 Biola Ave. The college offers students a unique learning experience with a campus that takes learning far beyond the classroom. There are internships available that take students into the Los Angeles area. Students can also study abroad through 20 different locations. The Torrey Honors Institute gives students the opportunity to learn how to be strong Christian leaders through its Christian studies of the liberal arts.

Courses

Christian based learning is very important to Biola University. The school offers 33 majors with studies in the Arts, Humanities, Political Science, Journalism, and many others. The sub categories of each major are vast and there is something for everyone to choose from. Biblical studies and Christian Ministry programs are also available.

Biola also offers students graduate programs within the areas of theology, psychology, business, education, intercultural studies, and professional studies. Each graduate program will take you to a different school for your learning, but Biola still remains concerned with the success of all of its students. There is even a bachelor’s degree program that enables adults with college credit to complete the program is less than 18 months.

Biola is a pioneer in Christian learning and they strive today to keep religion and education as a pair in the journey for success.
