Rio Hondo College is a school dedicated in providing financial aid options to its growing number of students. While the college has had some difficulty with state funding, it has made equal strides with scholarships and ways to gain money for the school, its equipment, programs, and projects. The mission of Rio Hondo is simple: treat each student with individuality and give him or her all that they need to succeed on their pathway to the future. Campus

The Rio Hondo College, RHC, campus is located in the beautiful city of Whittier in a state that screams career opportunity. In California, students are exposed to a state that has a large size with career choices around every corner. The campus offers a child development center for use while you work or attend classes, an on campus library, assessment center, career center and counseling for help along the way. RHC also offers the Cal Works program that helps families receiving TANF through the government to be able to earn an education too.

Courses

There are divisions at RHC that are broken down by field of study. Students can choose from arts and cultural programs, business/economic development/community services, career and technical education, communications and languages, health sciences, mathematics/sciences, physical education, public safety/administration of justice and social science/humanities/philosophy. Each division has program and courses within it where students can study and graduate with degrees and diplomas in their chosen career field.
