About the College


The Alhambra Beauty College was accredited in 1978 by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences. The teachers use their knowledge as well as the most advanced techniques and methods to train students.


Campus


The beauty college is home at 200 W. Main Street in Alhambra. The college does not provide housing for students; however, apartments and other rentals are available throughout the area. Clientele from the surrounding area visit the college for services such as eyebrow tweezing, facials, make-up, scalp treatments, haircuts, hairstyling, shampoos, cholesterol treatments, permanent wave, chemical relaxer, pedicures, and more, which aids in the hands on instruction training.


Courses


Cosmetician/Skin Care


This course is 600 clock hours and covers all practices of the art of skin care. Upon graduation, students can find employment in skin care, skin care specialist, salon owner, salon manager, product demonstrator, or make up artist.


Cosmetology/Hair


This course is 1600 clock hours and covers all practices of the art of cosmetology. Upon graduation, students can find employment as a Hairdresser, Hair colorist, Pedicurist, Manicurist, skin care technician, Product demonstrator, Cosmetic sales representative, Salon manager, or Salon Owner.


Manicuring/Nail Care


This course is 400 clock hours and covers all practices of the art of manicuring. Upon graduation, students can find employment as a Nail artist, Manicure specialist, Pedicurist, Product demonstrator, Nail supply representative, Nail salon owner, Nail salon manager, or Nail products demonstrator.


Teacher Training


This course is 600 clock hours and covers teaching the art of cosmetology. Upon graduation, students can find employment as a Nail artist, Nail Care specialist, Pedicurist, Nail supply representative, Nail products demonstrator, Manicurist, Pedicurist, Nail salon manager, Hairdresser, Salon manager, Beauty supply representative, Product demonstrator, Skincare technician, Hair colorist, Salon Owner, or Cosmetic sales representative.
