About the College


The Academy of Hair Design is actually three beauty colleges also known as San Diego Beauty Academy. The three colleges offer courses in Cosmetology, Manicuring, Esthetics, Massage, and Holistic Health Practitioner.


All three academies are utilizing five star standards of education while training students on the basic skills needed to pass state board tests as well as train the student’s in advance technical and professional skills that are seen at 5-Star salons and spas.


The curriculum at the college is very comprehensive including hair design and sculpting, make-up artistry, advanced esthetics, holistic health, massage, and spa manicuring

Bay Vista College of Beauty


Bay Vista College of Beauty is located in National City and is the only beauty academy in South San Diego County. The college has a 32-year-old history in the cosmetology industry. Courses offered at Bay Vista include Cosmetology, Cosmetology 102, Spa Nail Technician, Business Fundamentals, and Make-Up Artistry.


Bellus Academy


Bellus Academy is home in Poway and has a 16-year-old history. The school purchased 6,000 additional square feet in 2007 and undertook a $2 million renovation. Course offers at Bellus Academy include Cosmetology, Cosmetology 102, Esthetics, Esthetics 102, Massage Technician, Holistic Health Practitioner, Esthetics / Massage Combo, Spa Nail Technician, Make-up Artistry, and Business Fundamentals.


Je Boutique College of Beauty


Je Boutique College of Beauty has been in business for 32 years just as the Bay Vista College of Beauty. The school is located in El Cajon and is the only Beauty Academy in East San Diego County. Courses offered at Je Boutique College of Beauty include Cosmetology, Cosmetology 102, Esthetics, Esthetics 102, Spa Nail Technician, Business Fundamentals, and Make-Up Artistry.
