About the college

Pacific Oaks College was started in 1945 as a children’s school and then was accredited as a college in 1959 and the came the Westmoreland campus in 1977. The school has three basic beliefs for success. They are growth is a life long process, every individual has worth and every person is unique with extreme potential regardless of age and social status.

Each person does leave an impression on each person they come in contact with so why not make it a good one? Knowledge is power and networking with people can lead to career opportunities.

Campus

The Westmoreland campus is located in Pasadena, California. The campus offers new students an admissions office as well as financial aid and registrar. There is also the CARE office, which is the Center for Achievement, Resources, and Enrichment. They help students achieve their education goals and beyond. On campus there is a library and the Office of Information Technology is available online for up to date computer virus and project information.

Courses

At Pacific Oaks they offer on campus education classes as well as off site academic centers for their students. The Cohort Program is where 22 students attend courses together with group discussions to reach one educational goal. Pacific Oaks also offers online courses. At the campus students can take extended education courses, some to help them transfer. Pacific Oaks College has three academic programs that do offer degrees upon completion. They are human development, marriage and family therapy and teacher education.

At the college they are working with individuals and the community to ensure that higher education is available for you. Pacific Oaks offers a course with degrees or transfer opportunities so that each student can follow their future pathway to success.
