Orange Coast College was founded in 1948 and enrolled 500 students on their first day open. Since the opening day, the college has grown and now has over 25,000 students each semester. Orange Coast College is proud to have over 130 academic and career programs for their students. The school is also proud to have the nautical programs, which are the nation’s largest and most acclaimed programs. Almost 16,000 students from Orange Coast College have transferred to private colleges or universities either in California or in other states. Students can rent apartments and houses near the campus while attending the college.
