Women’s Colleges give women a private educational experience where they can be themselves, learn quality skills to take into their desired career fields and provide graduates with the confidence that they need to take on the workplace and their futures. Mount St. Mary’s is a school for women that provides undergraduate programs for women, but also trains men and women who have reached professionalism in their careers. The school was founded in 1925 and offers two campuses in the California area.

Campus

The Chalon campus is located in the Los Angeles area for women searching for a baccalaureate degree in a variety of programs. This campus came to call LA home in 1928 after the original campus was moved from downtown LA. Having a campus in the LA area provides beautiful scenery with unbeatable education opportunities and in demand career industries within the California area. Training at the college is rich in Catholic heritage with a devotion to the community. The faculty and student body at Mount St. Mary’s is collection of diverse, religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

Courses

At the Chalon campus, students can choose from undergraduate bachelor and associate degree programs. The bachelor degrees are divided into science and arts. Students can choose from biology sciences, biochemistry, business administration, chemistry, education, nursing and social work. In the arts field, students can choose from art and graphic design, chemistry, child development, mathematics, music and a few others.

The associate degree programs can earn students completion in business administration, early childhood education, graphic design, health and human services, liberal arts, nursing and pre health science. In this program students can participate in an inter program transfer. At Mount St. Mary’s they incorporate the beliefs and values of Catholicism with a rich academic curriculum.
