Beauty careers, whether it be working in a salon or owning one, are in high demand. The cosmetology field offers clients a way to feel beautiful through hair, nails, skin and massage. Since 1986, Montebello Beauty College has been a leader in the field and has given graduates the skills they need to impress employers and clients alike. The college offers the basic training to pass state board exams and hands on education that graduates can carry into their future careers. Campus At the Montebello campus, students have an on campus salon to learn and perform cosmetic procedures on the public. Financial aid is available to those who qualify and the cosmetology field has quite a few career opportunities. The field goes beyond hair cutting and offers student’s opportunities in hair design, or as a make up artist, hair colorist, soft wave technician, skin care technician, nail care tech, salon owner or product demonstrator. The training is phenomenal and the possibilities are endless. Courses The cosmetology course offered at Montebello Beauty College is a 1600 clocked hour class. This program focuses on all areas of the cosmetology field so that graduates are well rounded when they enter the workforce and any salon. To attend this class applicants must be at least 16 years of age and have completed the 10th grade education level. Students taking this course will learn the basics of barbering, cosmetology chemistry, health and safety, electrical equipment and anatomy and physiology. Also in the course, students will be exposed to wet and thermal hairstyling, hair cutting and color, facials, makeup and nail procedures plus salon business. At Montebello, the students are shaping their futures with color of beauty success. The cosmetology field is on the rise and you can be a part of movement with courses taken at Montebello.
