About the college

Westmont College has been a leader in Christian based liberal arts education since October 1937. Their mission is to create strong Christian leaders that strengthen their own lives and the community as a whole. The programs at Westmont are out of the norm with off campus semester long programs in Africa, Israel, San Francisco, Mexico, England or a few other places and overseas summer programs led by instructors. Students get to display their art in the campus gallery, be part of a leadership program or participate in community service.

Campus

Santa Barbara is the home for the Westmont campus. The city has beaches near by and the mountains are just a short drive away. The campus offers a post office, conservatory, part time student jobs, sports events and athletic programs. Students can also take part in chapel services, creative and performing arts events all right on campus. Between the beautiful climate, sunny beaches and family like atmosphere Westmont is a school for everyone.

Courses

Students at Westmont have liberal arts studies paired with religious instruction and career oriented programs. The programs include studies in art, chemistry, engineering physics, kinesiology, mathematics, modern languages, philosophy, religious studies and theatre arts. There are more to choose from and there seems to be a program for each student and his or her pathway to success. Westmont also offers off campus programs, science seminars, an institute for liberal arts and internships.

Westmont is a school based on religious leadership and those skills that can be passed upon to each student. Graduates of the college can use these skills to work in local and global ministries, churches or pursue other career demands. The school is committed to Jesus Christ, the word of God and quality education within a campus that treats you like you are family.
