Las Positas College is a developing college that is proudly serving 8,800 day time and night time students. The college is a two-year community college that helps students with seeking career preparation, transfer to a two-year college or university or just personal enrichment. Las Positas College offers their students 22 Occupational Associate Degrees, 16 Transfer Associate Degrees and over 35 Certificate Programs. The college has a range of programs and courses for students to take to have an open choice on their future careers. Las Positas College is a place for students to enjoy learning. They have counselors to help right out of high school adults, adults wanting to go back or people who just want to better themselves.
Campus:
The campus is located on 147 acres in Livermore California. The campus does not offer on campus housing but there are apartments and houses located in the area of the college for students to rent while attending the college. The campus offers great things such as multiple classrooms for different studies, Assessment Center, Bookstore, Campus Safety and Security Office, Student Center, Cafeteria, Health Center, Library and Computer Lab are some of the things. The campus is also in the works for future buildings like Aquatics Center, Child Development Center, Student and Administrative Services, Science Technology Center, Information Technology Center, Central Utility Plant, College Center for the Arts and Physical Education Center.
Courses:
Las Positas College only offers their students the best in classes. Courses such as Applied Technologies, Allied Health, Humanities and Fine Arts, Business, Entrepreneurial, Marketing, Work Based Learning, Computing Studies, Language Arts, Communications, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Health, Athletics, Nutrition, Recreation, Public Safety and Social Science. All these programs have courses that breakdown more of your career. All programs and courses are offered to all their students and gives them a variety for students to choose.
