About the College
In 1991, Barbara L. Quigley founded Kensington College with courses that are ‘fast track’ so you can earn your degree in as little as six months. This is a private, for profit institute. You can earn up to the certificate in degrees. The main course Kensington is known for is in Law. They limit the amount of students in each class so they get more attention for each student. They learn more than the full auditorium classes do. About the campus They do not provide housing on campus so you should go a few weeks earlier if you plan on living in the area while attending school. There is no meal plans either but you can find many restaurants that offer student discounts and some even have student day where you get a meal free. Check with the local area businesses, talk to other students, and see what they have found. You can look in the want ads and find other students looking for roommates. You can share expenses with other students to help you out. Many of the students come from out of state so this tells you what an exceptional school this is. About the courses The main majors students are taking at Kensington College are legal assistant, legal secretary, and legal professions. They have given out 15 law degrees in 2007. They had 12 full time students enrolled in 2007. Kensington College has just started a Hospitality Program so students can get careers all around the world in major hotels and resorts as well as on cruise liners. They will learn all the basics of the lodging and food service industry including the accounts and front office management. Many employees post jobs on the website so you can always look there after graduation. The student services will help you find employment. They do not guarantee the job they will just show you where there are jobs.
