Diablo Valley College offers students the ability to transfer from their college to a 4-year university, earn job skills for future employment and take pre-colligate courses for its students. The values of the college include diversity, learning, equity, creativity, and communication. Diablo also has courses that provide those already employed with classes that can update their skills and take them further in their current career. Campus Diablo Valley College’s main campus is located in Pleasant Hill, California. Carpooling to the college has become quite popular especially now that DVC has a computerized system to match students with each other and their commuting to the college. Bicycles, BART, and buses also are available for commuting to Diablo Valley College. Student services are available at the college. Financial aid, an assessment center, career and employment services, work experience credit, a study abroad program, and tutoring assistance are all open for students on the campus. Courses The Pleasant Hill campus has nine divisions of education that have department, degrees, and programs with areas of interest to study. The nine divisions are applied/fine arts, biological and health sciences, business education, counseling/library, English, math and computer science, physical education/athletics/dance, physical science and social science. Diablo has certificate programs, associate degrees and career and technical programs fro its students. There is a program for everyone with areas of interest in addiction studies, business, early childhood education, dental careers, culinary arts, and many others. Diablo Valley College also has online courses to give its students flexibility of class scheduling. The classes are in agreement with associate of arts degree requirements and the standard of 4-year universities. Diablo is a college that creates some of the best graduates for the in demand jobs in the workforce.
