About the college
College of Marin was established in 1926 becoming one of the many public colleges of California that is accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges. They have two campuses to suit your needs. There are approximately 9000 students enrolling each fall for classes. Being located between the Napa and Sonoma Wine Country and San Francisco the warm climate makes it possible for students to also enjoy the outdoor activities that are hosted all year round. You can bike in the mountains, hike, fish, go golfing are just some of the many attractions available to students. Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society, Black Student Union, Artist Honor Society, Environmental Landscape Club are just a few of the clubs you can join at College of Marin. Campus In 2004, they were given a 249 million bond to update their facilities. They have been able to provide the most up to date computers and technology, update fire safety, campus security, disability access, energy conservation has been the most important in doing all the updating as well. All the classroom and libraries have gotten new face-lifts as well. There is no on campus housing or meals provided but you can talk to the student support staff and they will help you find housing for you and your friends.
